ComiColor is a series of cartoons produced by Ub Iwerks, who helped create Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Mickey Mouse with Walt Disney. After leaving Disney, he went and produced his own cartoons from 1933 to 1936 among various studios under his phrase "ComiColor" making some of the first colored animated films. ComiColor cartoons were mostly based off fairy tales like Jack and the Beanstalk and Old Mother Hubbard, others were based on original ideas such as Balloonland.
ComiColor cartoons are held in the public domain, letting the crew of Shining Time Station to use them for the song segments of the show like the Noveltoons and George Pal's Puppetoons.
