Shining Time Station Live! was a cross-country show that would perform mainly in shopping malls, schools and at special events, with performances usually being played to full capacity crowds. The show ran from June 1993 to early 1996.
Plot[]
A young boy named Richard has always wanted to become a train engineer when he grows up. However, he doesn't want to wait until he's older to be trained how to operate steam engines safely and impatiently decides to hop onto Thomas' cab one day in an attempt to drive him. Things take a turn for the worse when Richard has no idea how to drive Thomas and he ends up coming off the rails.
It isn't long untl Richard's friends Casey, Brian and Brenda come to the rescue and help put Thomas back on the rails. Richard then learns a lesson on patience and also that people can accomplish almost everything with the power of teamwork.

Trivia[]
- The show was sponsered by ERTL who released their diecast Thomas the Tank Engine toyline with the Shining Time Station name in the early 90's.
- After the show, the audience would be invited to meet the cast memebers for autographs and to receive a Thomas pin as a souvenier.
- One of the big highlights of this show was for children to get a closer look at and have a photograph taken with Thomas.
- Several aftershow activities were held at the end of the show, including screenings of several Thomas the Tank Engine videos on a large screen TV.
- Despite the live show's namesake, It has almost nothing to do with the TV series despite Thomas playing a huge role.
- Schemer would sometimes make special appearences after each show.
- The Thomas replica was originally pitched by writer Rick Spencer to Britt Allcroft and Quality Family Entertainment to promote the show.
