We Do Things Differently is a song shown in the Season 1 episode Agree to Disagree shown through The Picture Machine by Tanya after trying to see if Matthew would talk to her. The songs general meaning is like the episodes title itself, seeing the differences in one another and agreeing to disagree. The song was composed and sung by Elizabeth Swados.
Lyrics
You go to the left, I go to the right
You like the day, I like the night
I'll run the mountains, you swim in the sea
There's absolutely nothing on which we agree
Because we do things differently, I agree
Yeah, we do things differently
I'm kinda fuzzy, you're kinda bald
I'm running free, you come when you're combed
I stick to the ground, you're up some trees
I say there's nothing on earth on which we agree
Because we do things differently, I agree
Yeah, we do things differently
You think with your nose, I think with my throat
I think for a little note while you sing one long note
I got feathers on my face and you got skin like never
Still I don't know why we couldn't try to get together
Yeah, we could get together if we try
Yeah, we could get together if we try
Yeah, we could get together if we try
Well, you bathe with water, I bathe with mud
You chew your breakfast, I chew my cud
You slide on your belly, I eat with my feet
There's nothing common between you and me
Because we do things differently, I agree
Yeah, we do things differently
And that's okay
